First PM on Fraud (2021 - 2023)

Joined as the first product hire on fraud at a Series B fintech. Owned the full fraud and compliance product surface from day one: real-time rules, transaction monitoring, identity verification, case management, and what would eventually become the fraud consortium.

Built the consortium from a blank doc to a 100+ financial institution network. The privacy problem was real: how do you let banks share fraud signals without sharing customer data? Co-invented the answer with a UC Berkeley cryptographer. Patent US12118125B1. Granted October 2024.

Presented to the Federal Reserve, FinCEN, and California DFPI as Unit21's sole representative. Argued in front of FinCEN about what "too many alerts" actually means. The answer depends on whether you are in fraud or AML. The full answer took twenty minutes.

GM, Fraud and Compliance (2023 - 2026)

Shipped AI investigation agents to 65 customers. 35-65% handle time reduction. Zero exits for legal, audit, or product reasons.

The surface concern when we deployed AI into fraud investigation was "it will take our jobs." The real concerns were auditability, legal exposure, and explaining AI decisions to regulators. I solved it in two places most PMs would not touch: at the architecture layer (chose AWS Bedrock over direct API calls to eliminate the Data Processing Agreement requirement that would have killed the pilot), and at the agreement layer (reworked the consortium contract with our GC, from 60 pages to 4 with equivalent protection).
